Tomas is a molecular oncologist with more than a decade of research at top institutions, where he advanced from postdoctoral fellow to Principal Scientist and, as PI, led an NIH/NCI-funded research program on the DNA damage response.
Since 2020 he has advised more than 30 biotech companies, CROs and founders on scientific strategy, non-dilutive funding and commercialization. His technology commercialization work serves seed-stage therapeutics and medical device companies spun out of leading universities, as well as research institutes.
Engagements cover technology evaluation, IP landscaping, CMC and regulatory risk assessment, customer discovery, competitive analysis, and primary and secondary market sizing. They typically close with a written diligence report and IP and commercialization recommendations. He has also shaped SBIR/STTR strategy for early-stage companies and led business development for platform companies.
